How do we set up our transition area?

Plan to drop off your gear and bikes and set up your transition area between 7:30-8:30am.  Once you’ve checked out the transition area and start line, you’ll head to the main lodge area to park your vehicle.  The Mt. Pass Lodge is also the site of the finish line, so your vehicle will then be parked conveniently near the finish. Once you have parked, you will run, ski or bike back to the start line which is only about 1km away.
There is not enough space for everyone to park at the transition/start area, but you can arrange to be dropped off there for the start of the race. Then your driver can park back toward the finish line.

Parking
The main parking area is at Mt. Pass Lodge.  This is conveniently located near the finish stadium, so please arrange to park there.

Yes, the Mt. Pass Lodge has all the modern amenities. In addition, there will be porta jons at the transition/start area.  We recommend using the lodge in the morning before heading to the start line.
Will there be food?
Yes, there will be GU, gels and hydration provided at packet pick-up on Wednesday and Thursday as well as the athlete services area at Mt. Pass Lodge and at the start/transition area.  Please plan for your nutrition needs.  Water refill stations will not be provided on course and water may be difficult to maintain at the start/transition areas due to freezing temperatures.
Lunch will be provided for athletes, officials and volunteers in the Mt. Pass Lodge on the 3rd floor starting at 11:30am-1:00pm. The menu consists of a meat, cheese and vege sandwich bar, soup, beverages and desserts.  Gluten free bread will be offered for sandwiches.
